Meet the Team

Our team is composed of successful professionals who are passionate to teach younger generations on how to become successful young adults using Fencing as a tool. Also, our younger team members are outstanding student athletes picked to be an exemplary figures in our club.

Coach

Sung Yim

Fenced in NYC high school league in late 80's. Seasoned professional in software development and marketing. Has degree in Computer Science and Business Administration. After decades of absence from Fencing, returned as a volunteer fencing coach in local high school. Currently managing Orlando Fencing Academy since 2017. Has two children who are the member of NCAA Division 1 fencing team.

Assistant Coach

Dr. Ijlal Baber

Originally from Karachi, Pakistan. Completed post graduate medical training at University of Illinois, Georgetown University and University of Florida. Specialized in Nephrology, Hypertension and Renal transplantation. Father of three, who are all fencers at Orlando Fencing Academy. Rated fencer who is inspired to represent his native country in world fencing stage.

Captains

Emma, Annan and Madhav

Appointed position for one year term serving 2025~2026 season. Responsible for organizing club events, warm-up exercises and assisting coaches during group lesson. Rated fencers with multiple medals in local and regional tournaments.
