River City Regional Rumble (10/25-10/26)

9 fencers of OFA participated in this year’s River City Regional in Richmond, VA. This time, 4 younger fencers joined the tournament. And they displayed that our club looks great in the future. Christie won 7th place medal in Y10 women’s foil and Collin won 6th place medal in Y10 men’s foil. Collin fenced brilliantly in the round of 16 Y12 men’s foil against 6th seeded fencer. However, lost by score of 12 – 15.

Annan showed strong performance again in this tournament, getting 3rd place medal in Jr. men’s foil.

Madav and Ryo got hired as referees along with fencing at Jr. men’s foil where Ryo finished 9th. And Jamie recorded her first regional win in foil.

Great job everyone and look forward to another regional in December.

Our next tournament will be November NAC in Dallas.
