The Southern Regional Tournament (10/11~10/12)

Girl Power!!!

Seven Orlando Fencing Academy fencers participated in The Southern Regional Tournament over the weekend (10/11 ~ 10/12).  OFA fencers secured 4 medals in total.  3 out of 4 medals were awarded by girl fencers of OFA.

Joanna and Emma placed 6^th and 7^th in Jr. Women’s Foil.  Joanna got enough Jr. points to qualify for Junior Olympic 2026 in Jr and CDT categories.

Emma placed 6^th in Div 1A women’s foil and got qualified for Summer National (Div 1A, Div 2 and Div 3)

Ryo placed 3^rd in Div 2 men’s foil.  He got D rating and qualified for Summer National (Div 2, Div 3)

Madhav “Tomato” secure his seat at 2026 Junior Olympic with his 13^th place finish in Men’s Jr Foil event.  Also, Amitav secure his seat at CDT category with 11^th place finish in Men’s CDT Foil event.

It was nice to see our friends from Miami area, Adrian and Lazaro.  Special thanks to Adrian for helping us with strip coaching.

Next tournament is River City Regional Rumble in Richmond, VA (10/25~10/26).
